I love kanye, his antics, his face, skin, tats, swag, style, gf, EVERYTHING! i gotta feeling this dude's gonna be my favorite entertainer next year too, and the year after and after and after and one day, i'm GOING to interview him and tell him the impact he's had on my life! One minute or the beginning of a new year is NOT, i repeat NOT going to change a person; the ridiculous resolutions people set out for themselves are tremendously impossible and make me sad when i hear them...lets be real here people lol, this is my list:

-get my windows tinted ((attainable, if i quit being lazy))
-get a 3.5-3.8 gpa in school ((extra attainable, if i focus a lil harder))
-pamper my mom some more :)
-smile WAY more!

this year i realized: i still love Kanye West, i know my lit blog is just that, a lit blog, but i love him and will continue to support Mr. West as a devoted/avid listener! sometimes you gotta let people go, even if it hurts,  its whats best for them and eventually, its whats best for me. growing up is a beautiful tragedy, old white men tend to eye rape me...A LOT. im now Dominican and Puerto Rican :)...lol. and my questions, the neverending conundrums that i conjure up daily, are special and someone appreciates them...whoever reads this blog, i hope you enjoy it...in 2010, lets hope it gets better!

I'm a day late but whatever; once I was at Starbucks and I ordered a hot white chocolate, when I went to pay the barista told me the car in front of me took care of my bill. That's all I'm really thankful I suppose this year...the memory of utter kindness at the hands of a complete stranger. I guess I was lucky.

I listened to Carl Thomas' 'I wish' today and truly appreciated the song; not that any situation I've put myself in holds significance to the song lol, but it does put things into minute perspective. In sexual/emotional gatherings people rarely leave what is comfortable for the unknown. We as humans seem to delve or dabble into the unknown, enjoy the moment and relish the security of what's convenient, regardless if we're happy, 9 times out of 10, we hope situations can change. They don't. Sometimes listening to someone else's tragedy and heart ache puts things into perspective or just mellows you out, thanks Carl! Life is a very fickle thing, isn't it?

i've been trying to escape the news for a while, due to the selective information they leak to the public, it truly saddens me, but anyhoo, there are a few stories i could NOT escape lol...

-the DC sniper was executed after a 7 year prison sentence...they asked him if he had anything to say? guess what he said!!  not a darrrrn thing lol...after 7 years of WAITING for your death, i wouldnt have anything to say either...but does watching another person, the person who killed your loved one make the death any less painful? i'd say no, its a morbid form of justice that shouldnt be put on display...i believe as i grow older that i'm leaning towards opposing the death sentence...i'll touch that later.

-some people in china are selling fake condoms lol...i didnt know they got it poppin like that in china and what exactly is a fake condom? saran wrap?? apparently this factory that produces condoms weren't making them correctly hence allowing people to get pregnant and catch diseases, but isnt the disclaimer clearly stated on the box and wrapper?! condoms offer no guarantee!!! this story is crazy lol.

-somewhere in the USA people are stealing gum, juicy fruit, winter fresh, big red, doublemint, and loads of it...a few people have been charged with misdemeanors for stealing over 150 dollars worth of gum! now i know everyone likes a stick of gum, but to steal it like that and sell it on the black market LMMFAO, just has me wondering, is the recession really THAT BAD?

-someone slap sammy sosa. wtf is he using skin lightners for...everyone knows hes not black!  nuff said.

-anthony sowell, neighborhood sicko just plead NOT guilty...mind you they found several corpses in his home, more disgustingly, they found a skull in a brown paper bag....people reported the stench ((from the decomposing bodies)) to the authorities but it was blamed on a sausage factory! mind you, anthony sowell is in a smaller prison, i believe, this man is locked up with the friends and family of his victims, he's not going to last long...luckily for him, he's hole-d up in the psychiatric ward but if that man touches ground in the yard, he's DONE for. i'm not much into following the traits and practices of serial killers, but generally history shows us that American serial killers have been caucasian; this man is African American and he probably walked around like the neighborhood uncle. i cannot fathom what the young lady that dropped him off at his sisters house experienced as he told confessed to two murders...a potential victim, a mayor's niece, God bless those poor women. :(

I was just thinking about humanity and nature, the whole freedom people want so much and a thought occured, "some people look better naked"...I know this is odd in comparison to some of my other entries but truly they do. Animals are always naked unless some pet owner dresses their poor dog up (I'm guilty of this on many accounts lol) but the human physique is quite astonishing on some people. Like Tyson Beckford, he looks better naked in my opinion but he also looks beautiful draped in a Dolce suit! Diddy, in my opinion would def look suck naked! Kinda gross. Everyone's on this Serena Williams thing, but I don't think she would look that good naked, her body is too much, muscle and curves working together to form that body powerhouse people drool over; just not my cup of tea. If a person is too boney, it just looks sick, if a person is too big its a toss up, because even in grander sizes, some people look better naked, but not Monique! As I conclude this entry, I suggest everyone (lol my 2 readers) please, consider walking around naked for a few minutes, its quite freeing : ).

I fell in love with it back in high school and at the time I didn't fully understand the range of things Mr. Raymond was discussing, but now as an older and more experienced Jamilla, I find myself adoring this album in its entirety. I will not call myself and Usher fan, I favor Barry and Luther lol but sweeeet geeeeezus he killed this. I would walk down the aisle to 'can you handle it' or 'do it to me' with no shame lol. I've loved 'can you handle it' for years but whenever I hear it I just feel like I do when I hear R.Kelly's 'greatest sex' after I haven't heard it for a while, makes me want a capricorn lol!   I love your  70's-80's pop funk gear, it allows me to express myself through over-priced, form fitting, one time wear n go outfits, that people don't love, but can't hate! This company truly inspires all future business owners by creating a brand that only manufactures its products in America (california, to be exact) and hires mainly people of Mexican heritage to work there, and even though you claim to be a company that exudes the principles of generosity, consideration and equality among all people, I'm sure these people are making minimum wage, however, your factory provides a health care facility, which should be there because with over 75 locations world wide, a lot of garments must be made and shipped out! Now on to my favorite thing about this company: the Website!! oh-em-gee, the enticing dirty porn pics...oopsy, i mean the spreads, dont take that literally, that display your items are super classy, so chic!! what i dont get is why there is such a lack of color, but i thought we went through that when i corresponded with a rep ((true story)) over this. The best thing about AA, the stores!!! I love going into the stores and dealing with the snobby ass sales associates, who only get enthused if a customers "stylish", i've been witness to this, your employees do NOT cater to heftier people, kinda lame because their money spends just as well as mine. So, a while ago, a friend and I applied here, oh yea, we did, we did. During our quest to work with this coveted company we were informed that only 'cute, little, asians', 'hot, gay, white  guys' and of course the token black girl will be employed at the store! did that destroy our hope?! OF COURSE NOT! we applied and guess what, i talked to your corporate reps about the treatment we received, why did i contact you? The hypocrisy that your stores are lead by is down right RIDICULOUS! there is no equality, its a FRONT. People that are hired on by this company are set up for a pick and choosing session, not based on talent or experience but by size, sex and of course race. Yes, you interviewed my friend, why? Not because of her experience but because you needed to fill the quota! I said it. and what?! i could prattle on and on, but the gist of this is: come clean about the discretions that lie in your foundations and your wall wont crumble...good luck with the law suits, the scummy company that you now are, will need it!!

God bless the stomach that carried Sean Carter. I've been trailing off to a different brand of music, getting more into the depths of rock'n'roll, the origins and birth of it, classic, heavy metal, screamo, you name it, i've been testing their waters...i was skeptical to even listen to Hova's latest album and I am so ELATED that i did. He just may have the best album of 2009, he brought hip hop back to life the way its supposed to be: ON TRACKS not beef infested youtube clips. Jay is really the KING of this rap sh!t!!

the VMA's were this past Sunday and whoever knows me, knows that my true ambition in life (well one of them) is to work as an entertainment broadcaster, so watching the show was VITAL to my existence (im an extremist, sue me)..if i had the time i'd upload the pictures of my favorite performances and outfits (wtf was Amber Rose thinking?!) however i loved Gaga's performance, she's just the cherry on top of an absurdly lush sundae, it was a metaphoric tribute to michael jackson, if you didnt know that or comprehend the jist of it ((paparazzi, 1 of my favortie songs!!)) and madonna somewhat made that speech about herself, but its Madonna, why wouldnt she? ok...on my blog i clearly stated and announced my love for Kanye West. i love him. i love the pieces of his mind that he offers his fans and the world, his display of ignorance and unabashed adorance for beyonce was not only humilitating but a cry for help that shouldnt be dismissed. i watched the jay leno interview and i wanted to cry ((and not because im a softee)), that man is going through something that shouldnt be televised nor should it be made fun of. i dont believe we should continually blame his antics as a result of his mothers death but i do believe he did not grieve properly and is acting out due to it. he was an only child, which means he was the center of his mothers world and she died so abruptly that it seems to have disrupted his whole PERSON. Do i believe Ye has it coming to him, yes, should he be banned? No. as long as he continues to make music and entertain people, he should be welcome at all functions and everyone should readily accept his antics because hes been a staple in entertainment for what?, 6 years now, whats new? the mans making ammends and trying to fix what hes done, but now, people need to reach out and see whats really up? i would be be beyond hurt if he did something rash or be punished to the extent of boycotting his genius. he's human, hes got an ego, he let it get the best of him and thats all im going to say. oh, and beyonces fake as her hair! the end.
