I'm a movie BUFF, I can sit at home and watch movies all weekend and be completely happy with how I spent my time! The Gift, which came out circa 2000/2001 I believe, is a film about a murder of a Southern belle who likes to get around, thing is, she's engaged! The twist is, theres a psychic in town, who's tied into all of it. Cate Blanchett (AMAZING AWARD WINNING ACTRESS) plays Annie, the psychic, she does a phenomenal job, Greg Kinnear is cool too, kinda nice to see him play a role outside of the weird guy...also the dad from 'I Love You, Man' and 'Juno' is in this too, can't help but laugh when I see him, but the show stealer in this movie is my man Giovanni Ribisi...dude is a FCKN beast on the screen!! Any role he gets, he KiLLS it!! He's been acting for some time now and I don't believe he is applauded enough for his craft, probably because he's not a major media mutt lol...but if you're bored and run across this film on one of your cable channels or see this on sale at Wal-Mart, snatch it up and watch Giovanni steal the show!
